Diagnosis and preoperative preparation
Prior to planning an eyelid procedure, a specialized plastic surgeon should evaluate whether you are a good candidate for blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
We always obtain a full medical history, to see if there is a history of thyroid disorders, hypertension or eye conditions that may increase the risk for complications.
You should always ask for full details on the procedure: how it is performed, watch some related videos, have a look at before & after photos, and understand what to expect from the surgery.
Blepharoplasty improves the look of our eyelids while other complementary
treatments address partial problems, such as crow’s feet (botox), chemical
peeling for fresh-looking skin, etc.
In case you’re on aspirin, you should stop intake for one week before and
one week after the surgery. All candidates have a blood test prior to the
surgery, on the Clinic premises.
