Buccal Fat Removal

Buccal Fat Removal

The goal of cheek fat removal is to achieve a slimmer appearance in the subzygomatic region (under the cheeks). Some individuals, both men and women, wish to enhance the hollow area just below the cheek region and above the angles of the lower jaw.

Buccal fat removal surgery creates this depression in the cheek and can be combined with the 4D facial plastic surgery, involving the placement of implants in the cheekbones, lower jaw angles, or chin. .

The procedure can be carried out under local anesthesia with sedation or under general anesthesia, particularly when combined with implant placements in facial bony structures. It is intraorally performed, i.e. through an oral incision, and is skillfully closed with absorbable sutures.

Patients are provided with detailed postoperative instructions, and the majority of them report experiencing minimal discomfort. Noticeable results typically emerge over the course of 4 months.
